Julie graduated from the New York Institute of Massage, a 1,500-hour state accredited program, in October 2014. Her program included anatomy, physiology, pathology, mycology, and neurology courses as well as hands-on massage courses including Swedish, Oriental, medical, modalities, and 80 hours at the New York Institute of Massage clinic. She became licensed and started working at Mineral Springs Chiropractic in March 2015.
Currently, she practices in medical massage to work with individuals on injury rehabilitation. She also provides relaxation Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial work. Additionally, she works as an independent contractor at an assisted living facility, at corporation wellness events, and at Buffalo’s Canalside performing chair massages. In the next few years, she plans to continue her education to gain knowledge and grow as a licensed massage therapist.
Massage helps us to reconnect ourselves with our bodies both mentally and physically. As an LMT, Julie works to make every session essential to all clients by providing them with a safe, comfortable environment and by listening and focusing on their specific needs.
