Dr. Thomas Denecke
Dr. Thomas Denecke is a Western New York native, born in South Buffalo and raised in Hamburg. The oldest in a family of 10 children, he graduated from Hamburg High School with honors. He attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1977. He won the "Alumni Association Award" upon graduation as the senior whose character and record of service to St. John Fisher College exemplified the highest ideals of the College. He then attended National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, IL and graduated as president of his class in December of 1980.

Soon after, Dr. Denecke returned to WNY to begin his own private chiropractor practice. He opened his first chiropractor office in March of 1981 at 1169 Harlem Rd. In August of 1986, Dr. Denecke bought his office building at 767 Mineral Springs in West Seneca, NY, where his chiropractor business has been located ever since. Dr. Denecke has also worked as a peer review panelist for Landmark Health Care in the mid-1990s. Dr. Denecke has even worked for several IME companies to provide examinations and second opinion reports on both workers’ comp and no-fault claims for the last 22 years. Recently, Dr. Denecke was hired as an adjunct clinician at D'Youville College for their Dr. of Chiropractic program, where he supervises senior interns through their clinical internship.

In addition to his work, Dr. Denecke is an avid golfer and is currently serving on the Board of Directors at Brierwood Country Club just outside of West Seneca. Dr. Denecke has a daughter who currently lives in Melbourne, Australia and a son who lives in Charleston, SC.

April T. Sweeney, D.C.

Dr. April Sweeney received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College. She has extensive education and experience in treating all levels of musculoskeletal conditions. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Anthropology from the University at Buffalo, and she has been a licensed massage therapist for more than 14 years.

Marcy Gasiewicz, LMT

Marcy Gasiewicz is a licensed, certified massage therapist who graduated from the New York Institute of Massage in 2009. Her 1,124-hour state accredited program included anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, Swedish, sports, trigger point and deep tissue massage courses.

Currently, Marcy practices in traditional Swedish relaxation, medical and deep tissue massages. In the upcoming year, she is looking forward to expanding her education and career as a skilled massage therapist by participating in educational courses. 

Marcy strives to provide an effective treatment through confident touch by listening, learning and being mindful of each individual's needs.

Amelia Sandy, L.Ac

Amelia Sandy is a licensed acupuncturist who originally grew up in Western New York. In May of 2012, she received her Master's in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. She is licensed in New York State and certified nationally by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Amelia's intensive 5-year master’s degree program included training in acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine, diet, and nutrition with an integrative approach toward Western Medicine. She specialized in the field of sports medicine by doing a clinical residency at the University of California, San Diego sports medicine center. She also had an extracurricular internship at AcuSport, a private sports medicine clinic.

Julie Cheman

Julie graduated from the New York Institute of Massage, a 1,500-hour state accredited program, in October 2014. Her program included anatomy, physiology, pathology, mycology, and neurology courses as well as hands-on massage courses including Swedish, Oriental, medical, modalities, and 80 hours at the New York Institute of Massage clinic. She became licensed and started working at Mineral Springs Chiropractic in March 2015.

Currently, she practices in medical massage to work with individuals on injury rehabilitation. She also provides relaxation Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial work. Additionally, she works as an independent contractor at an assisted living facility, at corporation wellness events, and at Buffalo’s Canalside performing chair massages. In the next few years, she plans to continue her education to gain knowledge and grow as a licensed massage therapist.

Massage helps us to reconnect ourselves with our bodies both mentally and physically. As an LMT, Julie works to make every session essential to all clients by providing them with a safe, comfortable environment and by listening and focusing on their specific needs.
